Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the CashBell Android app (package com.cashbell.app) and related services (the “Service”), operated by Handful Labs, a sole proprietorship of Kaustubh Khandelwal, GSTIN 08CVRPK6564P1ZF, registered at 17-B, New Colony, Gumanpura, Kota, Rajasthan 324007, India (“CashBell”, “we”, “us”). Address: 17-B, New Colony, Gumanpura, Kota, Rajasthan 324007, India. By installing or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
CashBell turns your Android phone into a UPI payment “soundbox”. With your permission, it reads notifications from the payment apps you select and, when a payment is received, announces the amount using your phone’s text-to-speech. It also offers today’s collection and transaction list, earning reports, your UPI QR code and home-screen widget, and a Team feature that lets staff phones hear the same announcements. CashBell is not a bank, payment app, payment aggregator or payment system. It does not hold, move or process money.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law.
- You sign in with your mobile number (by OTP or Truecaller). You are responsible for keeping access to your phone and account secure, and for all activity under your account.
- You must give accurate information, including your UPI ID. You are responsible for the UPI ID shown on your QR code.
- If you add team members, you are responsible for their use of the Service and confirm that you have their permission to add their name and mobile number.
3. Subscription and billing
- Paid features are sold as a subscription through Google Play. Google Play processes all payments, and CashBell never sees your card or UPI payment details.
- Current offer: the first month is available as a ₹1 trial offer, after which the subscription costs ₹299 per month. The price shown in the App and on Google Play at the time of purchase is the price that applies, and it takes precedence over any other description.
- The subscription renews automatically each month and you are charged through Google Play unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- You can cancel at any time in Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → CashBell → Cancel. Paid access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds follow Google Play’s refund policy. See our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
- We may change prices in the future. Google Play will tell you about price changes for existing subscriptions, as its rules require.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive purpose, including to mislead customers about whether a payment was made;
- use another person’s UPI ID or phone number without permission;
- add team members without their permission;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the App, its servers or its security, except as permitted by law;
- access the Service by automated means, overload it, or try to gain unauthorised access to any account or system; or
- resell, sublicense or commercially redistribute the Service.
5. Notification capture is not guaranteed
CashBell depends on notifications that other apps post on your phone. We do not guarantee that every payment notification will be captured or announced. Capture can fail or be delayed, for example because:
- the payment app does not post a notification, changes its notification format, or groups or silences notifications;
- your phone’s battery optimisation, power-saving or background-restriction settings stop CashBell from running;
- notification access is turned off, the phone is muted or in Do Not Disturb, or the volume is low; or
- there is no internet connection, or the phone is switched off.
6. CashBell is an alert tool, not proof of payment
A CashBell announcement, transaction entry or report is not proof that a payment was received. Notifications can be delayed, missed, or imitated by other apps or devices. You must check every receipt in your bank or UPI app before handing over goods or services. You are solely responsible for these checks.
Reports and totals in CashBell are for your convenience only and are not accounting, tax or bank records.
7. Intellectual property
The App, its design, software and the CashBell name and logo belong to CashBell or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own business, under these Terms. Third-party names such as GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, CRED and Amazon Pay belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility. CashBell is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- CashBell will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goods, data or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. This includes losses caused by a missed, delayed or incorrect announcement, or by relying on an announcement instead of checking your bank or UPI app.
- CashBell’s total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify CashBell against claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your dealings with your customers and team members.
11. Suspension and termination
- You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in Settings → Delete account. Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription; cancel it in Google Play as described above.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we stop offering the Service. Where reasonable, we will give notice.
- Sections 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 13 continue to apply after termination.
12. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may change, add or remove features, and we may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the App or by other reasonable means. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer protection law, any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
